Dog Training - Most Common Mistakes While Training Your Dog

Generally mistakes are made by a non professional during the dog training sessions. You need to be well educated about the breed of the Dog you are having and their characteristics before you start with the training session. There are some breeds of dogs who are not to be good followers; which makes naturally hard for anyone to train them.

You need to know about your training style, training techniques in order to avoid the Dog training mistakes. Normally Dogs are trained step by step by giving some rewards for every step they learn. Now here comes the mistake, if you give them the rewards by your extra love or pamper on the wrong steps then he would repeat the same wrong step rather than learning the right one. So, NEVER give any rewards for the wrong step to your Dog. Try to reward your Dog with cookies, cake pieces, or his favorite food etc for every positive step they do, which can motivate them to learn and remember. We recommend you to have a feeding plan for your dog, don't give anything at any time as Free Feeding schedule, and would spoil the Dogs habits.

You need to control your anger and need not to be more perfectionists. Always try not to get upset or wild while training your pet. You can teach anyone anything with love, affection and patience. Don't try to repeat the same step for many times which can bore your Dog, as if you get bored for anything which is repeated more often.

Try to understand Dog's feelings and behavior, if you neglect the feeling of your pet one it would make the Dog feel he is not wanted in your family. Especially during the training try to learn how he feels about the specific step like if he/she is enjoying, getting bored, refused to perform or being naught.

The reason behind the Dog owners not able to train their own pets is excess pampering bestowed on the Dog. Just like pampered children are spoiled by their parents only, its similar case for your pets also. So it is well suggested that let your pet Dogs be well trained by the professional trainings for best results. Most common mistake made by most of the dog owners are that they get angry at their pets Dogs as they take time to train or fails to respond to your commands.

Most important of all you need to be constantly consistent at every level of your dog training. Believe it or not, but it yields you with huge result. Even if you get diverted just once from your usual training sessions then you need to start from the basic of the same step.

Try to change locations of your sessions regularly like at home, on terrace, in the garden etc .If you try to teach your dog how to retrieve, then start doing so by alternating the items you want the Dog to fetch like Frisbee, ball, newspaper, etc.

So, in short try not to be impatience, pampered owner, be inconsistency and treating the dog as a subject instead of a training partner.
