How to Train Your Dog and Get Immediate Results!

By Cathy Adamo

There must be some reason why some dogs listen and respect their owners, and some dogs just operate with a mind of their own. I had a puppy like that; an unmanageable dog that simply refused to obey me, and anyone else in the family. We had grown attached to him and giving him away was no longer an option. We needed to find a way to tame the beast within .It became a necessity to find an effective and workable strategy to train him. You see, I have found a method that will give you solid results in half the training time.

But before I discuss that,we first need to clear on why the puppy or dog is misbehaving. Do all puppies act like this? Do they all wet the carpets, chew the legs off the sofas, roll in the mud and smell so bad? Well the simple answer to this is yes!- they do!They chew on anything they can get their little mouths on because they are teething. They pee anywhere they want because they have not been trained and educated where they are expected to go. Until we supply the answers on what is expected of them, we cannot honestly expect any proper behavior. In the absence of proper instruction comes frustration, anxiety and fear.

We need to take the time to properly teach our dogs and give them the guidance they need to act in the proper manner. Just as we do with our children, we need to show them the proper path and offer love and praise when they do well. We can easily teach a dog in a few simple steps what we want and see immediate results. We just need to take the time to do so. If your dog is really important to you, you must schedule some training time for it. In this way you will avoid future difficulties for many years to come.

Have you ever felt a loss of control when training your dog? Did you experience a sudden wave of hopelessness or anger at the dog or at the situation?
