Take the puppy outside into the yard or for a walk first thing in the morning, 10 to 15 minutes after every meal or drink and last thing at night. Do not play with them until they have eliminated. Try not to feed your puppy within 4 hours of bedtime and remove the water bowl 2 hours before bedtime.
3) Restrict Access To Your Home- It is advised until you get a little bit more comfortable with your puppies capabilities of going in the right spot to restrict his access to your home. Try to keep your puppy in areas that contain washable floors until he his house trained. If you are not using a crate restrict your puppy at night to maybe a wash room or kitchen. Dogs normally do not deficate where they sleep so this will be effective in restricting accidents through the night. Just make sure you take him out immediately when you get up in the morning.
4) Offer Tons Of Praises- Your puppy will always respond positively to praises and is the most effective tool in teaching your dog new tricks. It is important to encourage this new behavior with praises and treats.
