Throw Our Economy to the Dogs

By Matthew Goodman

Think about the economy from a dog's perspective: What are its commodities: Trips to the dog park? Yummy doggy treats? Belly rubs?

Dogs really know how to make the most of THEIR economy!... Behave well, show their human love, and they reap these AMAZING rewards. Now that's a smooth operating Economy!

For dogs, it's simple. Dogs aren't greedy like us humans.

We may overindulge them, give them a table scrap or two, But it's nothing like the way we overindulge ourselves...

Only now has the impact of our greedy and miscalculated ways become apparent. The Economy is in a state of crisis, and we're scrambling to fix it..

You see, unlike dogs, we didn't have anyone monitoring our behavior when it came to the economy - our "metaphorical" bag of doggy treats.

We dug into that bag, and ate every last bite! Now we are paying the price BIG TIME!... The economy (the belly of society) is aching, and there's no veterinarian on earth to treat it... No President. No Congress. Or even Chair of the Fed.

Incredibly the current plan is to put even more "doggy treats" into that belly - 700 million of them!

A "tasty" short term solution, but the bellyache will come back... Guaranteed.

That's why WE ALL have take part in fixing the economy. Not just the government. Dog metaphor aside, it's on each and every one of our shoulders.

So the next time you take/give out a loan, buy a stock or even make a purchase for your business, look at it through your dog's eyes... Don't complicate it with shoddy analytics or illogical rationale... Don't be greedy.... Make it simple. Earn that belly rub or doggy treat.

You'll feel better about it... and, more importantly, so will our economy :)
