Learning how to potty train a dog is very easy. It is important to know first of all where you will allow your dog to do its necessities.

Also, if you have a backyard then the best solution is to keep you dog in the area it is allowed to potty or let your dog outside after it eats.

If you leave in an apartment where you don't have a backyard then it is important that you walk you dog 2-3 times a day.

Having a dog is much like having a baby, it requires a lot of responsibility and potty training your dog is important.

It is also helpful to crate train your dog that way when you are not home you don't have to worry about urine stains and such. However, your dog should not be confined to a crate and you must take it out for a walk during the day so it has time to potty.

You can also use training pads, and place these in the allowed potty area for your dog.

Be on the lookout for signs that your dog want to go, such as going in circles or sniffing around for a place to urinate. As soon as you see these signs take your dog to the allowed area.

Also, you can only call attention to your dog if you catch him in the exact moment it is going in the wrong area. If you yell at your dog after it has gone the dog will not know what you are angry about.

Make sure you also have pet stain removers; this is because regular stain removers will not work. The stain maybe gone but the smell will still be visible to your dog and it will come back to the same place.
