What You Should Do to Stop Your Puppy From Barking

By Roney Golden

Listening to your puppies non-stop barking can make you crazy, especially if you are the new dog owner. One of the main reason that most puppies bark is they don't want to be alone because the nature of dog is a group animal. Some puppies will go absolutely nuts even you leave them alone for few minutes.

As you are the new dog owner, what you should do is try to understand what make them bark. Don't run to your puppy to sooth and caress him every time they bark because you are going to create a spoiled dog behavior. I do have few tips to help you manage your puppy barking.

1. Never ever yell at them - This will scare them and make them continue barking more and more.

2. Start wearing a "teaching lead" so your puppy will be near you all time in the house. This tool will make your puppy not feel alone.

3. Don't leave your puppy alone in the house too long while you away. This will create more stress to your dog.

4. Play some soft music to calm them down. Slowly caress his head and talk to him soothingly while he is barking. However, don't try to do it every time when your puppy cry, which will create a spoiled dog behavior.

5. Use some water spray onto their face every time they start to bark loudly. Most puppies and dogs absolutely hate getting a water spray on them. They will immediately stop whatever it is that they are doing.

6. If your puppy still continued barking, try to walk him outside the house for couple of minutes.
