Comparison Shopping For Small Dog Clothing

By Teri Lee

Shopping for just the right dog clothes to fit your perfect little pooch can set your head into a spin of confusion. The number of stores selling small dog clothing online is astronomical. You can find high end boutiques to extremely cheap stores to stores that have it all ranging from reasonably priced items to some that are quite expensive. Price does not always dictate quality. You may just be paying for a name that you quite possibly have never heard about.

One smart thing to due before ordering online is go to your local mega store and check out the clothing sizes and measurement requirements. You will probably not find a large selection. When you return home, try to find a similar product online and compare sizing availability and cost. You should be able to find free shipping online. If you find an extremely cheap price on one online store compared to another, it is crucial to make sure you include shipping costs in your comparison.

Some of the things that online stores do to attract costumers can be confusing to costumers. There are many stores online that sell small dog clothes that refer to themselves as a boutique. When people think of boutique, they think high end exclusive products. This is not always the case. However, a costumer shopping at a boutique may pay twice the price for the same product that they could get elsewhere. Just because a store specializes in tiny dog clothes or collars does not mean that you cannot find the same thing elsewhere for less. Be sure to shop around before buying from a boutique. On the other hand, there are some very cute and unique products that can be found in legitimate boutiques if you are willing to pay the price.

There is one last huge piece of advice regarding shopping online for tiny dog clothing. When you are shopping, make sure you are comparing apples to apples or shirts to shirts in this case. This is one of the biggest reasons that people pay more than they should. If you see a shirt for $15 at one online store and a similar shirt for $20 at another store, you may naturally gravitate to the $15 shirt. Stop and think about this first. There are other factors involved here. One factor that is not in the merchants control is sales tax. If an online merchant is based in your state, they are required to charge sales tax. So first check their location. Secondly, check shipping prices. The $15 dollar shirt may be cheaper because they are charging you $10 shipping. On the other hand, the store selling the $20 shirt may have a free shipping program.

Shop smart using these tips and you will be able to find great bargains on quality small dog clothes that will look adorable on your dog.
