The Australian Cattle Dog is a relatively healthy and long-lived breed. Their average life expectancy is 12 to 15 years.

Australian Cattle Dog is a medium-size dog about 17 to 20 inches and around 35 pounds.

Australian Cattle Dogs exhibit two primary coat colors: blue and red. In both cases the coloration is not solid.

The Australian Cattle Dog, also known as the Australian Heeler, Hall's Heeler, Queensland Heeler and the Blue Heeler, is a sturdy, compact working dog, well-muscled, powerful, yet very agile. The body is a bit longer than high with a slightly curved tail reaching approximately to the hock.

Australian Cattle Dogs are very good learners and follow all the instruction of owner. He can be easily trained to be an obedient dog but you must vary the training so that he doesn't get bored.

Cattle Dogs drive cattle by nipping at their heels or tails, but they have also been known to herd other animals, such as ducks, chickens, humans, pigeons, and even cars without instruction when left to their own devices.

Australian Cattle Dog Puppies needs lot of love & affection. Pups are born white (save for any solid colored body or face markings) and grow darker as they mature. This characteristic is believed to be inherited from a posited Dalmatian ancestry. Early obedience training is must.
